Around 2000 Stade Rennais FC fans are expected at the Allianz Stadium in Turin on Thursday, 22 October, for the club's third Europa League match of the season. This significant travelling support highlights the loyalty of the Rouge et Noir despite a run of five consecutive defeats in the league, with a recent form of zero wins and zero draws in the last five matches.

The trip to Italy represents an eleven-hour drive without stops for many supporters. For some, planning began as early as the summer. "We were very attentive from August, to find out which trip we would make," explains Raphaël, a fan. This match against Juventus is the club's second European away trip this season, following the journey to Austria to face Sturm Graz which ended in a 0-0 draw.

A difficult sporting context

This exceptional mobilisation comes as the team is going through a tough period on the pitch. Stade Rennais FC, currently fifth in Ligue 1, is on a poor run of form. The striker, the club's top scorer this season with seven goals in seven appearances, is sidelined for Thursday's match. This defeat is part of a difficult run that also includes a 2-1 loss to OFI, a 4-1 win over Auxerre, a 1-0 defeat at Laval, and a heavy 4-0 loss at Lyon.

Facing this Juventus side is a major challenge. The travelling fans intend to make the most of the occasion, regardless of the result. "We'll return on Sunday, so we have time to enjoy a moment with friends, the match, the pre-match, the post-match and the atmosphere of Turin and Italy!" shares Léo. The Stade Rennais FC squad, who will wear their new 2026/2027 kit, will finish their Europa League group stage in Prague.

Following this European fixture, Stade Rennais FC's schedule remains busy with the return leg at the Parc des Princes against Paris Saint-Germain. Kick-off against Juventus is at 21:00 on Thursday.
