Stade Rennais FC has set a price for striker Esteban Lepaul. The club would demand between 50 and 60 million euros for a transfer and is seeking a sell-on clause in any deal.
Lepaul, 26, is under contract until June 30, 2030. No concrete offers have been received yet, but several major European clubs are monitoring his situation. Paris Saint-Germain, SL Benfica, Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid are among those credited with interest.
This valuation is based on the player's outstanding season. The Ligue 1 top scorer last term with 21 goals, he has netted three times in five appearances this campaign. His recent first call-up to the France national team by Zinedine Zidane has further elevated his profile.
The player, who previously played for Angers SCO, admitted he is still coming to terms with the international recognition. Esteban Lepaul said: "Je n’ai pas encore réalisé" (I haven't realised it yet).
For now, the focus is on the pitch. Stade Rennais FC, who were thrashed 4-0 at Lyon on September 19, have an inconsistent recent run of one win, one draw and three losses from their last five games. The squad must regroup for the visit of Auxerre on October 11.
