Stade Rennais FC transferred Albert Gronbaek to Hambourg on Friday, June 5. The transfer fee is approximately 6 million euros. Albert Gronbaek was one of the key signings of Stade Rennais in the summer 2024 transfer window. Stade Rennais FC paid around 15 million euros to recruit the Danish international. After a disappointing first half of the 2024-2025 season, Gronbaek no longer wore the Red and Black jersey and was loaned out three times in a year and a half (Southampton, Genoa, and Hambourg). Initially injured upon arrival in Hambourg, the 25-year-old player eventually became a regular starter in Germany. Stade Rennais FC has therefore decided to transfer him to Hambourg for a fee of approximately 6 million euros.
